My name is Ismail Labihi and I am a native Bedouin. I grew up in the southeast of the Sahara Desert where I learned to navigate the stars from my grandfather and my father when I was still just a boy. As I grew older I learned to organize trips into the desert from my grandfather.
For me, Africa is the gateway to the Sahara Desert and there is a long history in my family of not only guiding people from other countries to, as well as through, the desert but it is so much more for me. For me, taking people on tour guided trips into the desert is about exchanging cultures, sharing good food and making new friendships. So, I invite you to come visit my homeland- let me guide you, and perhaps your friends or family members, to where the stars can light up the night sky, the dunes rise up to greet the morning sun and often times the sunsets are spectacular and can almost feel magical.
